Engineering of Amauti: Mathematical Analysis of Native Arctic Construction 

Abstract: This research examines the unique constructive balance of the Amauti — a traditional Inuit parka. Unlike modern carriers, the Amauti integrates a specialized pocket (ahwats) and a massive hood (amaut), creating a complex gravitational counterweight system. Through CLO 3D simulation, we identify how the tension is distributed across the lumbar and shoulder girdle, providing a blueprint for high-precision ergonomic outerwear.
